The Waiting Game

Other than the ‘three day weeks’ and power cuts of the early 70’s, I remember that everyone was going to pictures to see ‘The Sting’ – a Hollywood blockbuster. Redford and Newman were at the height of their careers and played the roles of the two con-men perfectly – setting out to con a crime boss.

I still love watching this film and cheer when Robert Redford stands up, having been ‘fatally’ shot – oops spoiler alert!
