ISLAND SQUARE

depicts the village square on a small island off the cote d'azur called the Porquerolles - a magical car free place of cycle paths and white sand beaches, a nature reserve. It only has this one village where all the islanders congregate to eat, drink, play pétanque and here you can happily sit and watch the world go by for many hours. I wanted to make the viewer experience the dusty rosy glow and golden light and heat of late summer in the south of France.

Mounted in a thick French Matt and framed to suit.
