We recently spoke to Andrew Craig about Christmas, following the recent successful launch of his Original and Limited Edition works...

PFA:  "Andrew, is it true you listen to Heavy Metal music while you paint? What’s your favourite track - is it from your favourite band? If not who are they? Just between us (and the readers) are there any cheesy Christmas tracks you might sneak onto your playlist in December?!"

AC:  "I listen to many different types of music while I paint, but usually it's an online Pogressive Rock radio station. But at heart I’m a rock child. I’ve had so many favourite tracks throughout my life (this is a tuff question) but this time I'll go right back to my childhood… Love Is All At The Butterfly Ball by Roger Glover and sung by Ronnie James Dio.  My favourite band would have to be The Wildhearts and my Christmas song would be Christmas Time (Don't Let The Bells End) by The Darkness".

PFA:  "It’s apparent that nature - particularly mountains and seas - inspire you. Are you a mountain climber or sailor yourself?"

AC:  "I've never climbed a mountain or sailed the sea, but in my imagination I've climbed many mountains and taken voyages on never-ending seas".

PFA:  "You worked in the theatre industry designing sets which must have been fascinating, especially at Christmas! Do you have a favourite story about your time there?"

AC:  "Christmas was the busiest time working in the theatre set industry as the Panto season was hectic but the most rewarding.  We were working on - among many - the set for Snow White in Birmingham. At the time this was the biggest Panto production in the UK. The backing cloths were spectacular and I remember squaring up (imagine a huge grid) then blocking in the colours for a wedding scene backing cloth for the finale. A beautiful end to look back upon!"

PFA:  "Finally, what would be your few words of advice for us all in 2021?"

AC:  "Let's work together on this, but stay apart x"
