Heaven Can Wait

"I was hanging this painting at an exhibition in Aberdeen and was pondering whether or not to sell it for I loved it from the moment that I finished it. My Sales Director and good friend Billy said “why don’t you go and have a coffee and think about it, but before you go what about a title for it?”. As we stood together looking at it Billy said “it makes me think of that film with Warren Beatty”, I said “ you mean, Heaven Can Wait?”.

It was a great title that summed up so many things I wanted to express in the painting. When I looked at it, with the title in mind, the clouds took on the appearance of angels' wings on his back."
