Chinese Whispers

There came a word into my ear - from Someone close and very dear,

"Oh really" I said, then thought to share the word with one I knew would care.

"My goodness!" she said as she passed it on - the words were whispered proposing much fun.

First came a giggle, a laugh, then 'The Look'; the meaning soon travelled and was never mistook!

Finally it came to the end of the line, the story was ... we needed more wine!
